Why move to Hamilton?
Hamilton is a suburb that has seen great changes. Whilst it has always had grand houses atop its hills, Hamilton has seen a total transformation of its riverfront land in recent years. Formerly being home to industrial and port related businesses, Hamilton is now home to a premium shopping centre, cruise terminal and a number of high end apartments. This transformation is extending to Hamilton Reach, and the ample available land has enabled the establishment of Brisbane’s most hip street food market, Eat Street Northshore.
The river front part of Hamilton offers its residents great facilities like a Woolworths, gym, cinema and a wide range of boutiqe stores, restaurants and bars. In the hills, Hamilton offers luxury homes with unrivaled views towards the river and city.
Ongoing roadworks mean that it does experience heavy traffic, nonetheless Hamilton is a short trip by car towards Newstead, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane City and in the other direction lies less than 10 minutes from Brisbane Airport, Eagle Farm and Hendra and many of Brisbane’s northern suburbs.
If you prefer to avoid the car, Hamilton is a short bus trip towards the city, and also has a connection to other riverside suburbs via CityCat.
The newer parts of Hamilton are popular with professionals (both single and couples), and are also ideal for anyone that works in the airport, Eagle Farm, Hendra or other northern suburb industrial and office parks. The closeness to the Gateway Motorway means it can also be a great option for mobile workers including tradies, salespersons and more.

What will your Hamilton removalists need to know?
Hamilton offers a few challenges for removals. Many of the hilltop houses in Hamilton are large enough to necessitate a big truck, but the steep and narrow roads mean a couple trips in a small or mid size truck can be a better option.
Among the apartments of Hamilton, some of the newer buildings do not have loading docks and instead require trucks to be parked on the street or in the buildings common plaza. This means you should expect the job to take a bit more time than normal, otherwise requesting a third removalist is an option too.
Some buildings like Infinity require furniture to be entered via the underground basement. The truck must be parked at street level, and goods conveyed via a ute or van to the basement for loading into the elevator. In these cases, make sure you inform your removalists of the building name and special requirements.
In any apartment enquiries should be made with management about reserving a lift or parking space.
None of the Hamilton removals challenges are insurmountable, but they do require careful planning.
